Philips CCZ252AT32 Static bolt flash on screen |
Message |
| I have a Philips CCZ252AT32. The problem is once in awhile a static bolt will flash down the center of the screen with a pop. Sometimes it turns off when this happens and won't turn back on until it cools off. Sometime it stays on for long periods and sometimes it will kick off every 10 minutes after it turns on. When I try to turn it on, it justs clicks. |

Look for a loose connection around the Flyback or any (ran hot) spots on the chassis at the larger Resistors. Another odd thing with these Philips TVs is sometimes you will have turn the screen control down on the Flyback just a wee bit remembering a little goes a long way.::David:: |

Had a similar problem with a Samsung, turned out the screen earth wire (braid around the back of pic tube) was not earthing to the main circuit board correctly despite all being connected. I added a second earth wire from the braid to the main board earth point and solved the problem, but best check with yuor local service agent before doing any mods to your tv. |
