Child Lock trouble with Mitsubishi CV-20126

Message

I have a mistubishi cv-20126 (Manufactured in 1995).  When I plug it in, the power light comes on and the child lock light comes on, both lights stay on but I do not get any screen or menu to light up.  Any buttons I push on the remote cause the child lock light to blink twice.  I do have the original remote.  The remote does not have a "QV" button on it, so the "QV-9" option for unlocking does not seem to fit this model.  Can anyone help me!
