| I have a GE model 31GT660 that will not power up and as soon as you plug in the power cord it emits a high piched whine. Any suggestions?

| I have same problem with my GE Model 31GT660 No power up, high piched sound when plugged in.
Was the shorted horizontal output transistor the problem? |

| replace hot if shorted and resolder leads on small transformer behind it |
