If it was in a small metal box with a wire that plugs into the tuner you most likely failed to keep it isolated with that small RF capasitor thats in the box. The center pin of the F-59 connector can never touch anything in the box except one side of the RF Cap. The other end of the RF Cap goes to the wire that plugs into the tuner. Good Luck:: David<.>\<.>\

I have a similar problem... I pulled the F-59 connector out of the metal housing, ripping the RF capacitor in half.  I've searched the likes of jameco and digikey but have been unable to find reference to an RF capacitor.  Where can I find such a part?

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip... TriTronics did have the part I need.  Any idea where I can find it cheaper?  It's a 2-cent capacitor and they want $25 for it (a good chunk of money that would be better spent on a tv with a/v inputs).

Thanks!
