Mitsubishi CK-3526R horizontal line

 

Message

  This set has an intermitant problem,ocassionaly the picture will go away and all thats left is a single horizontal line in the middle of the screen,I've replaced PIP boards and verticle boards in my other Mitsubishi set and I was wondering if you think this is a capacitor problem or a solder joint problem.Thank's for you help.

Try `thumping` the body of the telly, if this causes the problem to appear, then look for a bad solder joint, most likely in the vert. section. If not, vertical chip could be faulty, replace it.

This Mitsubishi is known for loose solder connections at the Vert. Output IC, and all around the Flyback area and the larger Resistors and Diodes.::David::
