| Can anyone tell me whether or not I can fix this little beast? (And how please).
It appeared following a power cut and now won't go away and the vcr won't play tapes (or do anyhting vaguely useful)

| I have this exact problem on V-752UK VCR. I have instructions to reset NVRAM starting by pressing internal test switch SW713 but this switch does nothing but makes message "No Tape Inside" appear on screen and I can't get the option setting screen. Can anyone help? |

| There seems to be a lot of us in the same boat! I'm having exactly the same problem from exactly the same symptoms. It also gives me something to do with the old UPS I was thinking of trying to sell. It's going on the VCR if I ever get it fixed!
Could I please have a copy of how to reset my VCR? It's useless at the moment so I've got nothing to lose.

Toshiba now do a swap scheme. This involves telephoning a hotline number and wrapping the faulty machine in a box WITHOUT any accessories and when you receive an as new vcr it is collected at the same time. Toshiba recommend replacing the micro for persistent mains interruptions/eeprom set-up with a more reliable one any way. You can do this yourself if you can handle fitting a surface mount ic.
Hope this is of help.
They will also swap out of warranty but chargeable.
