Hitachi CU5000K dark images have snowy outline |
Message |
| Does anyone know what might be causing the snowy outlining on darker images on a rear projection Hitachi CU5000K? DVD plays fairly well with minimal snowy effects of dark images, but the cable looks very snowy on all dark images. Appreciate the input. |

| Well I fixed it now. I am very pleased with it. There is still some bright outlines but no snowy picture even with cable. The fix was fairly simple. I just pulled the audio board from the rear of the TV and replaced a few of the bad capacitors that were burned through. I had to rummage around the house and found some that had the same Volts and Microfarads (uf) in a broken modem. These will do until I order a bunch of various caps online through www.mouser.com The left channel of the speaker still doesn't work, but I still have about 5 caps to replace. I believe the interference from the sound card was causing video interference. Hope this helps someone else out there. |
