SANYO 28WP4 Vertical Picture Shrink

Message

Similar problem to Gary dated 27/10/03 with his 28WN4.

Picture is sometimes ok, but 80% of the time, it shrinks evenly vertically, and produces a "tunneling" effect on the edges (so any picture with vertical lines in, like a row of sky scrapers, the outer ones would appear curved (concaved)).

Still under warranty with Tempo, but Tempo is now down the pan! Anyone help me?I have a good workbench ready and waiting!

Cheers

One temp fix I forgot to mention....... if you move the scart plug (if you have any plugged in that is) up or down, it will temp fix the problem. I used misc objects to hold the leads in place to acheive a good picture.

This obviously has something to do with making and unmaking a joint somewhere, perhaps on the PCB? Anyone?

Have popped the back off, and can't see any signs of dry joints, or cracked tracks. Be good to fix this one before the good ole James Bond Movies over crimbo! - Anyone have any ideas?
