No blue screen for video/vcr on sony tv |
Message |
| Recently moved all our equipment into a new entertainment center and reconnected everything. For some reason, we cannot get video signal from vcr. The vcr does work, as we hooked to another TV and it works there. So now we suspect that it either has something to do with the tv, or that we have hooked up something incorrectly. When you push the Tv/vcr button, you used to get a blue screen that would disappear of course once your video would start playing. Now it is a black screen.....and no video. We do get sound from the vcr. The TV is an older sony 1989-90, and we also are connected to digital cable. Hopefully, this is something really dumb and easy to fix. Any thoughts? cathy |

Double check that you have a scart lead going from your vcr to your tv. There are various ways to connect systems together, can you describe in what order your leads are connected and then maybee i can help more. For example - 1) Scart lead from the vcr to the digital box
2) Scart lead from digital box to the tv
3) Scart lead from vcr to tv
etc....... |

| connect your av1 of vcr to the socket marked 'video' on your digital cable box, and connect av1 of your tv to the socket marked 'tv' on your digital cable box. the tv/vcr button on your vcr will now work. you should get new scart leads if this fails. |
