Admiral TV Intermittent/Uncontrolled Muting Problem |

I have an Admiral 27" color TV. It's about 10-12 years old. Recently the "mute" function has been engaging by itself and intermittently, staying on sometimes for only an instant but other times remaining on for a couple minutes. There is no pattern to its timing or frequency or length of time between it's coming on and going off. It dioesn't matter what channel the TV is on or time of day. Nor does it matter if I am using cable or antenna (that's why I believe it's the TV itself.) The sticker on the back of the TV says JRI Distributing Inc. (Chicago) but my search of the internet has failed to find a website for either Admiral or JRI. There is a reference on the back of the TV to its being licensed by Telesonics Systems but again no luck finding them on the internet. My TV Model No. is 15282, the Service No. is MWJ2775S, and the Serial No. is 191-24400328. HELP! Thanks!

| did you try putting remote in another room away from tv to se if trouble is remote |

| I know nothing about your Adlmiral Problem BUT, I have a Montgomery Ward television Licensed by Telesonics Systems. Model 15140 Serial PLF2589H12 and Sams doesn't have it in their list.
It was manufactured in Springfield, Missouri August 1989. I don't know by whom. I need a schematic and servcice manual.
If you have any suggestions about where I can find one, please let me know.
