JVC Model AV 2771S - Thin video horiz line, good audio |
Message |
| My JVC TV model AV 2771S has a video problem, only a half inch wide band in the center of the screen. The audio is fine. What part must be replaced? The TV was manufactured in 1991. |

Resolder the Vertical Output IC and any other loose connections you might find on the Main Chassis.::David:: |

That is certainly worth a try. Although I have not moved or even touched this TV in many months, maybe a connection did work loose. Thanks for the tip.

Did you try this? I have a 2771 as well.....with a different problem. Mine all of sudden had the TINT go out. It is mostly green. The word CABLE that comes on to tell you have CABLE tuned in.....the C is yellow....the other letters are blue.
Adjusting the TINT control does nothing. It appears to be frozen in a certain tint position. JIm |

Resolder the degaussing cube .It is a black cube, about 3/4 inch, close to where the degaussing coil ,thats around the CRT ,that plugs onto the chassis board. It will have 2 pins. The DG cube usually has 3 pins. ::David:: |
