Mitsubishi VS-40001R Lock Code Reset

Message

How does one go about unlocking the lock code? When I change the input it says the TV is locked. I have tried QV/9 and input. It has no impact on releasing the lock code.

To Guest with the RCA 169 chassis, Either loose connection in Hi Voltage section. Saftey capacitor C-4403/C-4407!! You should always replace D-4418 in standby power supply any time you have this problem. Good luck: David

Message

Thanks David I finally found a defective (swelled up) capacitor in the Hi Voltage section labelled C403K (.48uF/250V) in plastic package. Now, your previous msg says C-4403. Is this the same capacitor? I think it is C403 in the 4000 section as labelled on the main board. Am I correct? Thanks

Joshua/CTC169/Vertical Cure

Message

These 169's had alot of Vertical problems. First I must assume you have Source B+ voltage so here we go. Replace C-503=2200uf@35v,U501 (8-Pin IC), C-518, CR-503, C-520=33uf@50v,R-513/220 ohm SMD (Service Mounted Device) runs from the negative side of C-520 up, CR-503, CR-502, C-518, and C-521. These are the worst case problems.GOOD LUCK::David::
