I have a matsui 14" screen, teletext and remote control. It is blocked or 'protected' as my husband typed in the incorrect pin, how do I get past the screen that says 'protected'. Also it switches off after +- 30 secs. I refuse to haul it ot Curry's and pay to have something this stupid fixed. Thanks

Steve

I have been piggybacking off this sequence of emails as I have the same problem. I have tried your two solutions and neither of them work. My machine is a Matsui 1408R and it too is locked out. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.

When I turn the TV on I am presented with a blue screen requesting a PIN no (the PIN no I was using is now not working and for some reason the TV has decided to change the default language to Spanish). When I press the volume button down it does not register on the screen.

Any thoughts would be welcome

Regards, Alastair Campbell

Alastair, on that model you have to press and hold the volume down button on the tv at the same time pressing and holding 7 on the remote control for up to 10 secs.
